L'essence du Fromage® Smokeshack Gouda
L'essence du Fromage® Smokeshack Gouda is made by taking traditional mild gouda and smoking it lightly to produce a cheese with an amazingly smooth texture and a gentle smoky flavor. This cheese is made from pasteurized cow's milk and aged in small batches. Only after reaching the optimal age (of about three months) is the cheese smoked. The delicate smoking process ensures that the mild flavor of the cheese is not overpowered by the smoke. The result is a cheese that works well in many applications including melted over grilled meats, paired with fine bourbon, or shredded over bitter greens in a salad.
